About
Janice Boes
I grew up in Winter Park, Florida and have been serving clients in my community since 2011. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth and grounded in compassion. I offer a supportive therapeutic space where together we can begin to understand the underlying patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, and how these experiences may be affecting your relationships, work, personal time - or even creative and athletic pursuits.
My role is to support you and offer tools that will enable you to work through challenges, gain clarity, and move toward a life where you can be more confident, grounded, and resilient in your everyday life. As we work together, we will discuss what your main concerns are and make a plan of action to give you practical tools using evidence-based practices, such as CBT, Mindfulness, and Trauma Focused therapies that are clinically shown to improve these areas and move you towards personal growth and healing.
Outside of my clinical work, movement, creativity, and self-expression are central to my life. I have a long-standing background in weightlifting and yoga, and I enjoy staying active through tennis and other outdoor activities. I’ve also been involved in music for many years, playing guitar, piano, and percussion. In addition, I enjoy painting and drawing as creative outlets.
These experiences shape my understanding of the connection between physical health, creativity, and emotional well-being. They also allow me to connect more authentically with clients—especially those who identify as athletes, performers, or creatives. I believe mental health is deeply intertwined with how we care for our bodies and express ourselves, and I value helping clients find balance in ways that feel both realistic and sustainable.
